Tomato rice soup

Ingredients
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • ⅔ cup rice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh or 1 teaspoon dry oregano
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 14-ounce cans tomatoes
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon
  • 2 cups milk

Instructions
  1. Sauté onion and garlic in oil. Add rice, oregano, and pepper.
  2. Add tomatoes, water, and bouillon. Cook until rice is tender.
  3. Cool soup until it stops boiling. Stir in milk.
