Black bean soup

Ingredients
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 8-ounce cans tomato sauce
  • ⅔ cup black beans, cooked, or 1 15-ounce can black beans
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon tomato bouillon
  • ⅛ teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice

Instructions
  1. Sauté onion and garlic in oil until tender.
  2. Stir in the spices; cook 2 minutes longer.
  3. Add tomato sauce, beans, water, bouillon, and hot pepper sauce.
  4. Bring to a boil. Simmer 15 minutes. Add lime juice.
