Welsh rabbit

Ingredients
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices bread, toasted

Instructions
  1. Melt the butter over low heat. Add flour, salt, mustard and pepper.
  2. Stir in the milk and Worcestershire sauce slowly. Stir constantly until thickened.
  3. Add cheese and stir until blended.
  4. Serve over toast.
