Quick cinnamon buns


Ingredients
  • 2½ cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1¼ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1¼ cups buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

Glaze Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons buttermilk
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese (optional)

Instructions
  1. Heat oven to 425 degrees. Grease 9” cake pan.
  2. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Combine buttermilk and melted butter. Add to dry ingredients.
  4. Knead on floured surface until smooth.
  5. Pat dough into 9”x12” rectangle. Rub with butter.
  6. Spread with sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  7. Roll up the long way. Pinch seam tightly. Cut into 8 pieces; arrange in pan.
  8. Bake 23-25 minutes. Invert onto plate. Glaze if desired.

Glaze Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients.
