Currant cookies

Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2¼ cups flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ cup dried currants

Instructions
  1. Combine butter, sugars, egg, vanilla, and baking soda; beat until light and fluffy.
  2. Add flour. Mix well. Stir in currants.
  3. Shape into a 12-inch roll. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill.
  4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  5. Slice roll into ¼” slices; place on ungreased cookie sheets.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
