Colonial brown bread

Ingredients
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1¼ cups oatmeal, ground
  • ⅔ cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup raisins

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9” pan.
  2. Combine dry ingredients.
  3. Add buttermilk. Fold in raisins.
  4. Pour into pan. Bake 1 hour.
