- 8-10 lemons (or 10 limes)
- 1½ cups sugar
- 1½ cup hot water
- 1 tablespoon grated peel
- Squeeze 1½ cups juice from fruit.
- Dissolve sugar in hot water. Add juice and peel.
- Add 3 parts water to 1 part syrup.
Makes 3 cups syrup and 3 quarts lemonade or limeade.
