Tomato rice soup

- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon oil
- ⅔ cup rice
- 2 tablespoons fresh or 1 teaspoon dry oregano
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 2 14-ounce cans tomatoes
- 3 cups water
- 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon
- 2 cups milk
Instructions
- Sauté onion and garlic in oil. Add rice, oregano, and pepper.
- Add tomatoes, water, and bouillon. Cook until rice is tender.
- Cool soup until it stops boiling. Stir in milk.
