Black bean soup

- 1 onion, chopped
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- 2 8-ounce cans tomato sauce
- ⅔ cup black beans, cooked, or 1 15-ounce can black beans
- 2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon tomato bouillon
- ⅛ teaspoon hot pepper sauce
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
Instructions
- Sauté onion and garlic in oil until tender.
- Stir in the spices; cook 2 minutes longer.
- Add tomato sauce, beans, water, bouillon, and hot pepper sauce.
- Bring to a boil. Simmer 15 minutes. Add lime juice.
