Ginger cookies
Ingredients
- ¾ cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup molasses
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 cups flour
Instructions
- Cream shortening, gradually adding sugar. Beat in egg, molasses, baking soda, salt, ginger, and cinnamon.
- Add flour to creamed mixture. Blend well.
- Roll into small balls; cover in sugar. Place 2” apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes.
Makes 2-3 dozen.
