Currant cookies

Makes 4 dozen.
(From a Sun-Maid currant box.)
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- 2¼ cups flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ cup dried currants
Instructions
- Combine butter, sugars, egg, vanilla, and baking soda; beat until light and fluffy.
- Add flour. Mix well. Stir in currants.
- Shape into a 12-inch roll. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Slice roll into ¼” slices; place on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes.
