- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup water
- ⅓ cup corn syrup
- food coloring (optional)
- flavoring (optional)
Instructions
- Put sugar, water, and corn syrup in a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Heat to 300 degrees, or hard crack stage. Don’t stir.
- Remove from heat; cool until bubbles stop. Stir in color and flavoring, if desired.
- Grease 2 baking sheets with vegetable oil. Drop candy by spoonfuls onto sheets.
