Russian tea cakes

Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2¼ cups flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • additional powdered sugar

Instructions
  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Mix butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Add flour and salt.
  3. Shape into 1” balls. Place 1” apart on ungreased baking sheet.
  4. Bake 10-12 minutes until set but not browned.
  5. Cool slightly on wire rack. Roll warm cookies in powdered sugar.
  6. Cool completely. Roll in powdered sugar again.
