Banana oatmeal bread

Ingredients
  • ½ cup butter
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 bananas, mashed
  • ¼ cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup chopped nuts, optional

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 9” loaf pan.
  2. Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time.
  3. Add bananas, buttermilk, vanilla, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Mix well and add the oats, flour, and pecans. Transfer to pan.
  5. Bake 55 minutes. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
