Brownies

Ingredients
  • 1⅔ cups sugar
  • ¾ cup butter, melted; or oil
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1⅓ cups flour
  • ¾ cup baking cocoa
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup chopped nuts

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Grease a 9 x 13 inch baking pan.
  3. Combine sugar, butter, and water in a large bowl. Stir in the eggs and vanilla. Stir in the salt, cocoa powder, and baking powder. Add flour.
  4. Bake 18-25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out slightly sticky.
  5. Cool completely in pan.
